Definition of Unauthorized Use
In this notice, "unauthorized use" means operating HandyCafe software without a current, valid license purchased directly from HandyCafe, LLC or an authorized reseller. This includes expired licenses, usage through ad blocking and unlicensed copies.
What Is Happening
HandyCafe, LLC, a United States-based software company, is initiating a global compliance program to address unauthorized use of HandyCafe software.
Through routine technical monitoring, HandyCafe has identified a significant number of installations operating without valid licenses across multiple countries and regions, including but not limited to (in alphabetical order) Albania, Algeria, Dominican Republic, Egypt, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkiye and Vietnam.
HandyCafe actively monitors and enforces its software licensing rights worldwide. We are working with legal advisors in key jurisdictions and are prepared to pursue formal enforcement against businesses that do not come into compliance.
Legal Consequences of Unauthorized Use
Unauthorized use of copyrighted software exposes your business to serious legal consequences, which may include:
Civil Liability
Under U.S. copyright law (17 U.S.C. Section 504), statutory damages can reach up to $150,000 per infringed work for willful infringement. Local copyright laws in your jurisdiction may impose additional civil and criminal penalties.
Criminal Penalties
Software piracy is a criminal offense in all jurisdictions where unauthorized use has been detected.
Business Disruption
Enforcement actions, compliance audits and legal proceedings may cause significant operational disruption to your business.
Financial Liability
You may be held liable for all legal fees, licensing costs and compensation for damages caused to HandyCafe and its legitimate customers.
HandyCafe is prepared to file formal complaints with relevant authorities in each jurisdiction where violations have been identified.
You Still Have a Chance. Act Now.

Purchase a License NowWhat You Need to Do
Deadline: May 7, 2026 (30 days from this notice)
Obtain a Compliance License to fully resolve all prior unlicensed usage.
After obtaining your Compliance License, ensure all installations are covered under a valid license. Remove any installations that exceed your licensed capacity.
Do not distribute your license to any other business or location.
Removing the software does not resolve liability for past unauthorized use. Only a Compliance License provides full resolution and release from claims for prior infringement.
If you believe you have been identified in error, contact us at compliance@handycafe.com with your business name, location and the basis for your claim.
What Happens If You Do Not Comply
If a Compliance License is not obtained within the compliance window, HandyCafe reserves the right to initiate formal enforcement proceedings, including but not limited to filing civil lawsuits, reporting criminal violations to local authorities and seeking full statutory damages plus legal fees. No further notice will be provided before enforcement begins.
Important Information
This compliance program is a limited-time offer. After the compliance window closes, HandyCafe reserves the right to proceed with enforcement actions without further notice.
Businesses that obtain a Compliance License will have their matter fully and permanently resolved.
HandyCafe processes installation data under the legitimate interest legal basis (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) for the purpose of protecting its intellectual property rights. Full details, including your rights as a data subject, are available in our Privacy Policy.
